MY STORY

Howdy, I’m Riccardo Romano.

I'm a multi-instrumentalist musician: I play keyboards (piano, Hammond organ, harmonium, synthesizer, programming), guitars, mandolin, bouzouki, and bass guitar.

I'm a singer, a composer, a songwriter, a sound engineer, an arranger, as well.

Keyboardist at RanestRane, Steve Rothery Band and The David Foster Band.

In 2017 I started my new project Riccardo Romano Land, publishing "B612", a rock opera inspired by the book "The Little Prince" by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry.

The songs follow the narrative structure of the novel, intertwining De Saint-Exupéry’s life with my own experience: my life is told through both musical suggestions and lyrics.

Everything becomes symbols and metaphors to describe a journey from a different perspective.

Musically, inspiration by Peter Gabriel’s “Ovo” or Marillion’s ”Brave” can be found, combined with references to the tradition of the most iconic rock operas such as Jesus Christ Superstar.

The album features many guests, including Steve Hogarth and Steve Rothery from Marillion.
